The Setback- CM Punk

At the Royal Rumble on January 27, 2024, Punk suffered a significant setback – a torn right triceps. This injury has compelled him to miss the upcoming WrestleMania XL. Initial reports of the injury came from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, later confirmed that Punk had indeed sustained a torn triceps during the Royal Rumble match.

The Royal Rumble, a highly anticipated event in the WWE calendar, has seen Punk’s participation six times, yet victory has eluded him on each occasion. The 2024 Royal Rumble was no exception. Despite Punk’s experience and determination, securing a win proved elusive.

The Consequences

Following the injury, reports indicate that Punk has either undergone or is scheduled for surgery. The recovery process for such an injury could potentially keep him out of action for up to eight months. Consequently, Punk is expected to miss several major events, including WrestleMania XL.
