Stellar Blade: Gameplay Review
Stellar Blade offers a unique blend of action and adventure, with gameplay that evolves in fun and interesting ways across the 30 hour adventure. The game’s combat is smoothly animated, challenging, satisfying, and boasts a healthy amount of enemy variety. The game’s protagonist, Eve, is equipped with a one-handed blade, the Blood Edge, which she uses to execute quick and strong attacks.
The game’s setting is a familiar one: The Earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and humans have fled to a colony in space. You play as Eve – a member of the 7th Airborne Squad – who is sent to the surface to eliminate the threat of the Naytiba, horrific monsters that laid claim to Earth once the humans fled.
Despite some open-world and platforming woes, Stellar Blade is believed to be one of the best action games this year. The game’s story is relatively straightforward, but it’s backed up by some intense-looking action.

Launching Platform
Stellar Blade is a platform exclusive, only releasing on PS5. There has been no mention at the moment if it will come to PC later down the line, but considering other PlayStation Exclusives like Horizon: Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart were released on PC a couple of years later, there’s a chance it’ll arrive later down the line.
